Understanding The Satiric Approach to Critical Discourse.
This study on critical discourse attempts to critically investigate issues of related texts. Methods of analysis are various; however, this work looks at identifying satiric approaches to critical discourses. A satire is sarcasm or other satirical devices that are used in critical discourse. The work suggests a three-dimensional framework for studying discourse, where the aim is to map three separate forms of analysis onto one another: analysis of (spoken or written) language texts, analysis of discourse practice (processes of text production, distribution and consumption) and analysis of discursive events as instances of socio-cultural practice.
